Because the bag policy at the US Bank Stadium is so strict, it is strongly encouraged that you show up light, without any type of bags. If you do want to bring a bag, it cannot exceed 12 x 6 x 12 inches. There is also a clear bag policy in effect, so all bags need to be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC. You can use one-gallon clear plastic freezer bags such as a Ziploc bag.

Also permitted are small clutch bags, but they cannot exceed 4.5 x 6.5 inches, with or without a strap or handle. This bag is in addition to the clear bag you may bring in. Exceptions include medical bags with medically necessary items. It's best to contact guest services in advance to ask about what's allowed.

No matter the bag you bring in, all will need to go through stadium security before entry into the stadium. A proper inspection will be done of each person and their plastic bags, sometimes pat downs also occur. Bag check does slow the entry process, so be sure to allow extra time.

The stadium's bag policy has a list of prohibited items for Minnesota Vikings game day which include purses larger than a small clutch bag, clutch bags bigger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches, a bag larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, cinch bags, camera bags, backpacks, computer bags, seat cushions, strollers, briefcases, coolers, luggage, and diaper bags. If fans try to carry any of these through the gates, they won't be permitted entry.

For most non-Vikings related event, backpacks and large bags that exceed 12” x 6” x 12” are not allowed. Some non-Vikings events, including concerts, may use the NFL Clear Bag Policy.

Getting to US Bank Stadium

Driving to US Bank Stadium is possible, but it's not usually recommended. Traffic is incredibly busy in downtown Minneapolis and parking tends to be difficult to find. Often you have to park far from the stadium and walk a fair distance.

Public transportation is almost always the best option. The Metro Green and Blue lines will each get you to the stadium. If you'd rather take the bus, there is a stop within short walking distance. There are always taxis and rideshares available, and they do have specified pick-up and drop-off locations at the stadium.

Stadium Food and Drink Policy

All outside food and drinks are prohibited except for one plastic bottle of water. It needs to be factory-sealed still, and cannot exceed 32 oz. All hard-sided coolers are also prohibited. The stadium has tons of food and drink options at the concession stands and vendors, so you can make purchases inside.

Stadium Camera Policy

Guests are welcome to use personal cameras to take pictures, but you can't record footage at Vikings Games. As well, no professional equipment is allowed, which includes selfie sticks, tripods, and monopods. Cameras can't have fixed lenses longer than 6", and camera bags aren't allowed.

General Stadium Rules and Tips for Guests

A few more basic rules fans need to comply with include the following:

• Animals aren't allowed except for service animals
• No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed through the gate
• Video cameras are prohibited items during Vikings games
• Computer bags and camera bags are prohibited items

• Seat cushions with pockets
• Stadium gates open two hours before kick-off or the start of the ticketed event
• There is no re-entry for fans at any gate
