Gillette Stadium Bag Policy

Fans arriving at the stadium may be surprised at how strict the bag policy is. This is why it's best to arrive light, ideally with nothing in hand. Guests are allowed a one-gallon clear plastic freezer bag that doesn't exceed 12″ x 12″ x 6”. A small wristlet or handheld wallet is also allowed as long as it's not larger than 6.5″ x 4.5”. If you buy anything at the stadium's ProShop, items will be placed in clear plastic bags. These will also be allowed in.

Some small electronic items are also allowed in, but they need to be turned off until you pass through the stadium gates and the security check. These items include cell phones, small transistor radios, and personal digital assistants. If you need to bring in medical supplies, you'll need to request an exemption in advance by contacting the stadium.

Some of the bags and containers that aren't allowed under the bag policy include coolers (soft and hard-sided), camera bags, a case/bag for binoculars, computer bags, purses, backpacks, seat cushions that have zippers or pockets, fanny packs, luggage, and briefcases. On top of the strict clear bag policy, there is no luggage or bag storage on-site at the stadium.

Be Aware of Additional Rules and Helpful Information

Before event day you'll also want to be aware of these rules and additional information regarding what's allowed in the stadium.

Getting to the Stadium

Likely the most affordable and fastest way to get to the stadium is by public transportation. The MBTA train has routes that connect Providence and Boston to the stadium so you don't have to worry about transfers. This train is only available on event days/nights.

If you choose to drive to the stadium, there are several parking lots in the area. Most open four hours before game time to allow for tailgating. For events that aren't a game, it's best to check in advance what time the lots will open.

Food and Beverage Policy

All outside food and drink are prohibited from bringing inside the stadium. This includes water bottles, alcoholic beverages, small snacks, and so on. Fans will either need to eat before they arrive for a game or event, or inside the stadium at the many concession stands.

The stadium doesn't allow re-entry either. If you leave, you can't come back in. So you'll need to decide whether you're eating outside or inside the stadium gates.

Camera Policy

Cameras are allowed in the stadium as long as they are for personal use. Professional cameras and equipment aren't allowed. Cameras with detachable lenses may not be allowed in either, at the very least the lens will likely need to be removed at security screening. All GoPro and video cameras are banned from the park. Monopods, tripods, selfie sticks, and drones are all banned as well.

Basic Rules All Guests Need to Follow

A few basic rules to know about before fans get to the park include the fact everyone needs to go through a metal detector. The stadium is a non-smoking venue, and this includes vaping. This is also a cashless stadium so you will need to use a debit or credit card. If you only have cash on you, the Cash-to-Card kiosks can convert it to a prepaid card.

Ensure Your Visit to Gillette Stadium Is Fabulous from Start to Finish

One way to make sure your time at the stadium is memorable in the right ways is to be aware of the clear bag policy, what's considered a permissible size, what's prohibited, and of course, what you'll do with the rest of your luggage and belongings while at the stadium. We're here to help, so you can count on us to be your solution!
